Admission

Kindergarten cares for both boys and girls in their pre-school year. Under the
kindergarten leaders, the children enjoy a varied and structured introduction to school life with an emphasis on learning through play.

There are a number of activities that will help your child prepare for the move to kindergarten:

  • Read to your child and show your son or daughter how enjoyable it can be.
  • Talk and listen to your child, for example, discuss places you have visited.
  • Encourage your son or daughter to taste different foods and eat meals as part of the large family group.
  • Encourage your child to put on a coat, practice doing up buttons, putting on shoes and using a spoon and fork etc.

    STAFF

    We maintain a high staff ratio throughout, allowing plenty of scope for individual care. Qualified and experienced staffs are available at all times, including childcare practitioners and First Aiders. Your child’s Key Worker will work closely with parents or careers, informing them of their child’s progress and achievements, discussing future plans and objectives together: All information is held in strict confidence, with respect for the parents and careers concerned. All reports are available

    ADMISSION

    All children are welcome to Royal 5chool of English, completing their
    second birthday. The core sessions are mornings, it is therefore
    advisable that your child has progressed with their toilet training belove commencing pre-school, to reap the full benefit from our action packed morning. Staff will however work closely with parents if their child is not confident in this area. Parents intends to visit the school prior to entry should telephone the office for an appointment to view during school for parents to view, and Key Workers are available every morning for hours.

    FEE

    Parents must pay school fees and bus fees on or before 10th of every month. After 15th of the month, Rs-10/-must be given as a fine. School bus fees must be paid as term wise (3 terms). 

    School bus fees will be revised. Non remittance of fees will enforce the removal of the student’s name from the rolls.

    ATTENDANCE

    • Students unable to return punctually to school after the holidays because of illness or any other reason, should send a written application for leave failing which their names are liable to be struck off from the roll.
    • No leave of absence is granted except on written application from the parents or guardians and that too for valid reasons.

    ADMISSION

    • The general performance and progress of the student in the class tests, unit tests, and terminal examinations will be taken into
      account for promotion.
    • Students who absent themselves will not be re-examined.

    RULES OF DISCIPLINE

    • Parents should see that their children are punctual. The school time is from 9.20 am to 3.30 pm.
    • Teachers and students must be present for the morning Assembly.
    • Perfect silence has to be maintained in the school building and on the grounds at the first warning bell. At the second bell, the students should file up in silence for the assembly. The prayer begins at the third bell.
    • Strict silence and order should be maintained when moving from the ground to the classroom or when changing classes is necessitated.
    • Students should be courteous and greet the staff and each other whenever and wherever they come across them.

    The identity card issued by the school should be worn on all days.

    • Do not litter the school premises.
    • Students must bring this handbook (Diary) to school daily.
    • Staff and students should speak English within the school premises.
    • It is not advisable for students to have money or valuables in their possession.
    • Always endeavor to keep up the morale of the school by observing the school rules and respecting authority.
    • Good manners and etiquette are to be observed. Neatness in dress is compulsory. Politeness is part of the culture.
    • No student shall be allowed to go home during class hours unless a duly authorized person comes to take him/her with a letter from the
      parents.
    • Students who come to school with their parents, guardians, or servants must reach the school before the first bell. In case of delay, they should
      report the matter to the school office.
    • Any kind of damage to school property must be made good or paid for. Students who deface the walls or furniture will be fined.

    RECOMMENDATIONS TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS

    • Parents have a great role to play in the education of their children. They are requested
    • To study all the rules and regulations of the school, abide by them, and see that their wards observe the same faithfully. To see that their children come to school on time.
    • To encourage their children to participate in as many co-curricular activities as possible to ensure the all-round growth of each child.
    • To visit the school on the open day, meet the principal and the teachers of their wards to enquire about the progress of their children.
    • To continually check the reports made by teachers in the school handbook, the progress reports made by teachers in the school handbook,
      the progress reports, or any other report of their wards
    • Parents/guardians are requested to sign the same whether the reports are
      satisfactory or not.
    • To inform the principal and the class teacher if the pupil is absent through illness for more than two days.
    • To notify the principal in case of any infectious disease at home and to take care not to send the child to school until the danger of infection
      has passed.
    • To avoid visiting the children during class hours. All business will be transacted in the office hours.
    • To retain from criticizing the teachers of the school in the presence of the children lest they lose respect for their school and teachers.
    • To obey the rules and help the school authorities to maintain discipline and keep up the standard and moral tone of the school. To remember that a good education is the joint effort of the school and the home.
    • Dress your children neatly in loose and comfortable uniforms (socks should be clean; shoes should be polished and comfortable for them)
    • No gold and silver ornaments are allowed. Be moderate in using other ornaments.
    • Identification tags should be attached to all the belongings (bags, towels, water bottles, etc…) of the children.
    • Please send only a limited quantity of food that the child likes.
    • If the child travels by school bus please take the child a few minutes early to the boarding point 5end only responsible people to accompany the child and to collect him /her back from the boarding point.
    • The school diary is a record and means of communication with the parents.

    Transportation Facilities

    Students are provided with adequate transportation facilities. Those who wish to avail of this facility will apply for it to the principal, at the beginning of the academic year. Any change in the boarding point should be duly communicated to the concerned authority.

    Rules Regarding School Bus

    • Students are expected to observe strict discipline on the bus. The conductor will be responsible to see the discipline.
    • Students are not allowed to shout or fight on the bus.
    • In the case of any complaint, parents should report to the office and never approach the crew of the bus directly.
    • Parents will not be permitted on the school bus.
    • School buses will stop only at different points assigned by the school authorities. 6) Students who cause damage to the bus will have to pay
      the penalty that will be fixed by the principal based on the report from the crew.
    • Parents are requested to cooperate with the school.
